We’re all serious today for some reason. Maybe because XN is finally not out of breath after running up the WWZN stairs to get to his show. Late as always, of course.
Chris Villani nearly dies during the show because somehow the temperature in the booth is absurdly high. He spends most of the show sweating, melting and half-conscious.
In all our seriousness, we jump into the news...
With a loose treatment of physique information
like it was current events,
and current events like it was physique information,
these are the physique stories inside today’s big stories
for the week ending May 5, 2008.

•The biggest steroid kingpin in America gets caught! Ties to the NFL, the baseball scandals, police forces, and just about everyone else make this guy David Jacobs the ultimate sports world leech. Well, they finally landed him in court. Our money is on this guy’s name being all over the news for weeks . . .
-
•Science guys make a strong link between folks who barely sleep and folks who are fat. Not cause-and-effect, but still an interesting line-up.
-
•The Fastest man in America is now also the HIGHEST man in America. At least this time the Olympic champion drug controversy is NOT based around steroids . . . and so soon after his fraud charges, too!
-
•Next, our John Cena Report. Still nothing.
-
•Countries with smarter women also have healthier weight levels among women. A study shows how education and money correlates to fat. You got it: more books = more fat, less books = more under-nourished.
NEXT up, THE BIG DEAL:
THE BIGGEST DUDE WE’VE EVER SEEN, PRO BODYBUILDER EVAN CENTOPANI
Right out of the gate we decide that Evan will be The Big Inside’s very own Mr. America. To the rest of the world he is one of the youngest IFBB pro bodybuilders.
Even talks to us about how his life is pretty laid back, and he spends his time helping his folks and destroying his chiropractor’s office. He is really a regular guy, but not so much into the sports world. Yet, obviously, he is front row to the steroid scene.
It is rare and a pleasure to have a pro bodybuilder offer insight into the world of how steroids infiltrate the world of athletes. Evan’s standpoint is that the damage being done is more due to the need to covert behavior rather than due to the drugs themselves.
Even is one of the most humble “bug guys” you will ever meet, and really not concerned with putting on airs or towing any corporate line. Meanwhile, he hates every presidential candidate, but LOVES The Big Inside.
THE BIG OUTSIDE:
OUR COMPETITIVE PHYSIQUE SPORTS ROUND UP!
XN HOSTS THE FITNESS ATLANTIC BACKSTAGE VIDEOS!
That’s right, XN moonlighted this weekend! His talent (or lack thereof) was hijacked and he hosted the video clips that will be posted on FitnessAtlantic.com.
XN ran around all day with microphones and cameras, doing interviews and offering insight . . . as well as just making his usual mess of things. Check him out there, and see what a bodybuilder does when they’re not competing.
